My entry for the Kansas City Design Discovery mailer that gets sent out every year… I wasn’t a finalist, but I still had a lot of fun designing it! The mailer is a double-sided 5”x8” card that is sent out every year to prospective students who are considering the design-related professions in the Kansas City area and throughout the region. Additionally, only one ink tone may be used in order to save money on printing costs. To that end, it wanted to be an object with a strong, attractive visual identity with a stark contrast between sides. All the text was placed one side and all the images on the other. The text we had to use was given, and not to be changed (especially the Legalese).
